Free up time to focus on the work you love

Wish you had someone you could trust to streamline processes behind the scenes, while you’re absorbed in design work or growing your business? That’s only natural when your mission is to serve clients by creating amazing spaces.

Many small to mid-sized design firm owners dream of finding someone who understands the industry and can take care of those details.

Level up your operations

Get paid faster, keep your clients satisfied, and your employees empowered to do their best work by implementing systems for success.

This is not like business coaching or a seminar, where you just end up with more on your to-do list.

You get tangible deliverables that you can use immediately. Everything is customized with your logo, fonts, colors, and brand voice.

Grow your business without losing it

Expanding your team takes time. Suddenly you may be worried about managing employees AND staying on top of projects, with the risk of losing clients - or your mind - as a result.

Documented operational procedures make team growth easier. Employees who have a clear onboarding process are more likely to ramp up quickly and stay in a job longer than those who have ad hoc training.

Why Plumbline?

A plumbline is a vertical reference line that ensures that a structure is “plumb,” or aligned. My mission is the same: to align the workflow of your firm, providing a solid foundation to build whatever you dream for your firm.

I’m a licensed, NCIDQ-Certified interior designer and project manager experienced in multiple market sectors and firms sizes. Read more in my bio.

You will work directly 1:1 with me personally and will not be passed on to a staff member!

This sounds great, how does it work?

Process

1 - Schedule a free, confidential call to pinpoint your most pressing problems and we’ll outline an action plan (scope of work) to solve them. You receive a customized, written proposal with a timeline of deliverables.

2 - Our collaboration continues with a discovery process that illustrates how your business works today, noting opportunities for efficiency. We set benchmarks and goals. It’s similar to an existing conditions survey & programming phase. You receive a visual map of the current and proposed workflow for your company.

3 - We meet weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, or I work in-house embedded with your team, depending on the scope. Meetings are by video if you’re outside the Washington, DC beltway or can be in-person if you’re local.

You receive clearly defined deliverables at each meeting and incorporate them into your workflow, one meeting at a time. This gives you time to absorb and implement each new process.

We measure the pace of improvement at regular intervals against the initial benchmarks and industry standards.
